Thank you to everyone who supported our Church Summer fete held on 8th July when £1852.00 was raised for the Churches of Great & Little Tey. Many thanks to Mr. Simon Hall for hosting this event and to everyone who gave of their time in preparation for the fete, helping on the day and helping afterwards on Monday evening. We were very blessed with wonderful weather once again and thanks to stall holders, musicians and everyone who worked so hard for the fete; it is greatly appreciated.

60s, 70s and 80s Dance
We are now selling tickets for the Village Dance/Social to be held in Simon Hall’s luxury marquee in the garden at Walcotts Hall on Saturday 16th September from 7 – 11pm
in aid of Great & Little Tey Churches. We have booked a high class performer named Pete George who is an excellent guitarist and singer, covering the 1960s, 70s and 80s.
There will also be a licensed bar selling beer, wine and soft drinks. We hope very much that you will come and please invite your friends as well. Tickets are available from Chris and Sue Percival on 211619, Jane Richardson 211481, John Carr 211039 and Christine Lucock 210872 and are £10 for over 18’s. Under 18’s are free providing they are accompanied by an adult. We hope you can join us for this great evening.

Mothers’ Union
Great & Little Tey Mothers’ Union will be taking their summer break in August. Our next meeting will take place on Thursday 21st September at 2.30 pm at the Rectory when our speaker will be Rev. Lydia Smith, Vicar of Layer de la Haye and surrounding parishes. Charity Stall at Coggeshall
Once again Freda and Pauline will kindly be running the Charity Stall at Coggeshall Market on Thursday 17th August from 8.00 am. All donations of cakes, preserves, produce and items to sell will be gratefully received please – these can be passed on to Freda King, Pauline Mattin or brought to the Rectory. Coggeshall Market is well worth a visit with a greengrocers stall, fishmonger, cheese man, bakery stall and local produce. We hope to see you there.

Musical Afternoon and Tea at Little Tey Church
Enjoy a Musical Afternoon and Tea at Little Tey Church on Saturday 2nd September at 3.00 pm when Terry Saunders will perform a programme of English Songs.
Tickets are £5.00 and available from Celia Dodd and Freda King. All welcome.
