Earthquake in Essex Talk
We do hope that you can join us for an evening talk at Little Tey church on Saturday 6th May at 7.30 pm when Mr Peter Jones will be giving a talk on the Earthquake in Essex.
Tea, coffee and cakes will be served afterwards. Tickets at £4.00 each are available from Freda King, Pauline Mattin and Jane Richardson or pay on the evening. All welcome.

Rogation Family Service
We invite you to our Family Worship Rogation Service at Little Tey Church on Sunday 14th May at 9.30 am when the service will be both outside and inside the church as we ask God to bless the land and thank Him for the fields and surrounding countryside. Refreshments will be served after the service; please invite your families and friends along; all welcome.

Service of thanksgiving
On Wednesday 17th May at 7.00 pm we have a special service of thanksgiving for our community in the presence of The High Sheriff of Essex, Simon Hall, Esq., MBE. As many of you will know Simon is a resident of Great Tey and hosts the church’s summer fete in his lovely garden at Walcotts Hall. Refreshments will be served after the service in the village hall. All are very welcome.

Christian Aid Week
A house to house to collection for Christian Aid will take place between the 14th – 20th May 2017; this year the appeal is to help support refugees. If you would like to help with this year’s collection in Great & Little Tey please contact Jane Richardson on 01206 211481 or email john.richardson195@btinternet.com. Thank you to everyone who helps with the delivering and collecting envelopes; your support is greatly appreciated and thank you everyone for giving so generously each year.

Mothers’ Union Songs of Praise
Everyone is invited to our Songs of Praise Service at St Barnabas Church, Great Tey Church at 2.30 pm on Thursday 18th May 2017. Afternoon tea will be served after the service and a bring and buy sale will be held to raise funds for the MU Summer Appeal. Our next meeting at the Rectory will be on Thursday 15th June at 2.30 pm when our speaker will be Mrs. Marion Ketley, former Diocesan President and all are welcome. Open Gardens at Chappel and Wakes Colne
Enjoy an afternoon of Open Gardens in Chappel and Wakes Colne on Sunday 4th June from 11.00 am – 5.00 pm. Lunches and refreshments will be available.

MU Coffee Morning
Join us for our Coffee Morning on Wednesday 21st June from 10.00 am at Greenlands Farm, Lamberts Lane by kind invitation of Carol and David Williams. Tea, coffee, cakes and refreshments will be served, and a bring and buy stall and raffle will be held to raise funds for the Mothers’ Union Summer Appeal. Enjoy time to chat over coffee and the lovely garden at Greenlands Farm. All welcome.
